| BUNG began life in 1990 as a three piece consisting of Jeremy Denman (drums), Joe Taylor (guitar) and Bob Page (bass). Being from a small town in
Southwestern Washington they were the only grindcore band around. This
incarnation of BUNG did some local shows and made some rough rehearsal
recordings.
In 1992, Jeremy Denman left the band and Marc Sundin entered the picture on
drums. BUNG also hired longtime friend Mike Lewis as their new front man. This version of BUNG began playing several shows in the Seattle and Portland areas, but unfortunately disbanded in 1994 and went their separate ways.
Enter the year 2000, six years after their break-up, the original line-up
decided to get together and jam to see what would emerge. After two
solid rehearsals they had written new material and current vocalist Tyler Stockton
entered the picture to round things off.
BUNG then went into the studio and recorded a self-titled seven song demo.
This demo was a limited release that was distributed on their trip to the Bay Area to play their first out of area show with Deadbodieseverywhere and Vulgar
Pigeons. After that BUNG went back into the studio and recorded more material which is currently unreleased.
In 2003, Joe Taylor left BUNG. After taking a seven month break BUNG asked longtime friend Donny Woolford to take over on guitars. Donny stepped in proving
to be an excellent player and songwriter.
BUNG is currently recording a full length for Mainstay Recordings to be released in late 2006 and has been hitting the circuit and playing several fests in the Washington and Portland areas.
